Top Rated Masticating Juicers

TOP RATED MASTICATING JUICERS & Criteria for Your best Juicer choice

There are several things that you should look at when you decide to buy a Masticating (cold press) juicer:Omega J8007

1. Speed alternatives & strainer types

Best Masticating Juicers are Slow Juicers with different speeds and different types of strainers. When it comes to speed, slow speed will work best for soft fruits such as grapes while high speed works well with harder fruits such as apples. For strainers, a coarse strainer allows you relatively more pulp in the juice while a smoother one leaves little or no pulp. It all depends on how you like your juice.Glass with Juice, Flowerpot with Purple Flowers

2. Pulp collecting containers

Most slow juicers have their own pulp collecting containers either externally or internally. For those that don’t, you might have to place the cold press juicer over a trash bin. Some consider this messy while others think of it as having one less container to clean.

3. Is it easy to clean?

This is especially important if you will be juicing regularly. Cold press juicers must be cleaned after every use. If you are not a cleaning person, get a cold press juicer whose parts are dishwasher friendly.

4. How often will you be using it?

If you won’t be juicing on a regular, a cheaper cold press juicer is okay.

5. Do you plan only to juice / or to prepare various other food as well?

By choosing Multi-purpose Juicers, you can also make baby food, nut butter, sauces etc.Two Glasses with Red and Yello Smoothie

6. Juicer Overheating

Some masticating juicers have safety protection against overheating. Buy heavy duty cold press juicer if long periods will be involved.

7. How wide is the chute (feeder tube)?

A wider chute (feeder tube) allows you to throw in some fruits and vegetables whole/without having to cut them. Wider chutes also mean fewer chances of oxidation and  – longer lasting juice.

8. How big are the cold press juicer and its parts?

If you have less counter space you might want to consider a cold press juicer with a small footing.  But, if you do a lot of juicing at a time – a cold press juicer with larger collecting containers is preferable for you.

9. Your budget

You can get relatively affordable and good quality masticating juicers, but you have to live with some downsides such as hand washing, having to cut up foods before juicing them and similar.

-The collecting cup can’t hold juice for 2+ people and the bin is also small and needs constant emptying.

-Just like all slow juicers you are not allowed to let it dry after use. You can put the disassembled parts in hot water if you don’t feel like cleaning the cold press juicer immediately.

  1. Wonderful! I’ve always wanted a good juicer but lost in all the options available. Your article helped me to narrow down my search. I will still keep looking so keep these posts coming. Thank you.

    • I’m glad if my article helped a bit:) Make sure you visit my site regularly as I am always updating it with new ideas, info, and product reviews.
      Thank you, too!

  2. Great review! We have just come into needing a new juicer after the motor decided to give up. For me the two most important things are easy to clean, and quiet as possible operation. I am an early bird and I like to get everything ready before everyone wakes up. With our old juicer I had to get everything ready and wait for everyone to be up before I could turn it on.

The Omega 8006 sounds perfect for our uses.

    Thanks again!

    • Hi Tim!

I agree with you regarding the criteria for choosing a new juicer. And… I’m glad that you found the Juicer that very likely matches your family needs.
      Thank you!

  3. Thanks for a great review of juicers, you covered a lot of information that I wouldn’t have otherwise considered when making my purchase decision. I’m off to Amazon to check out your recommendations!

  4. Juicing is a great way to get all essential nutrition into our bodies fast and finding a good juicer is always a difficult one.

It looks like you have a selection of good juicers here, the slower the juicers the better as they do not kill off all the living cells in the plants.

Thank you for sharing this article, have a great day and all the success, health and happiness you desire.

    Kind regards.

  5. I like a juicer that’s reliable and quiet. My problem with picking one out is that I’m always overwhelmed with information overload.
I like the way you listed the information without too many details and it makes it easier to choose one. Th Omega 8600 would be my choice.
Research is always my favorite thing to do when I’m looking to buy something but you did it for me. Thanks!
